Mostly good, minor app issue

I set up Soldo for our company's corporate cards. The expense management platform is robust, and the budget controls are exactly what we needed. Delivery of the physical cards was quick, only took about 4 days to reach our office in Chicago. The receipt capture tool is super handy for the team. My only small gripe is the mobile app can be a bit slow to load sometimes on older phones, but once it's up, it functions fine. Overall, it's a solid system that handles our spend well.

Consistent service, always reliable

This is my third time using Soldo for different projects. We started with just a few employee cards for one department a couple of years ago, and now we're using them for project-based spending cards across multiple teams. The system has always been reliable. The real-time reporting helps a lot with budgeting. I especially like the consistency; there haven't been any surprises or glitches. It just works, which is why I keep coming back.

Great value for a new business

As a startup, every penny counts. I saw the 30-day free trial offer for Soldo's spend management software and decided to try it. It integrates with Xero which is a huge plus for us. The automated bookkeeping has already saved me hours. The value for money is really good, especially with the trial period letting us test everything out before committing. I'm impressed with how much it streamlines our financial reporting for the price.

Good for team expenses

We got the business expense cards for our sales team. It's much easier to track spending now. The mobile app works well for receipts. Setup was straightforward, took maybe 20 minutes.

Is Soldo a real bank or just like a fintech company? Wondering about the security of funds.

I Ian Lee 2 weeks ago
They're a fintech company, not a traditional bank, but they're regulated. Your funds are usually held in segregated accounts with regulated financial institutions, so it's pretty secure. Not like your money is just floating around.

Nah, not a bank. They're an e-money institution. They gotta follow strict rules, like keeping client money separate from their own operating funds. So it's safe enough for business use from what I understand.

Can you actually use Soldo cards when traveling internationally, like for expenses in Euros or something?

A Ashley Thompson 3 weeks ago
Absolutely. They're Mastercards, so they work anywhere Mastercard is accepted. I've used mine in several European countries without a hitch, the multi-currency accounts are pretty handy.

Yeah, that's one of their strong points. Used it in Mexico and Canada too. Just make sure your account has funds in the right currency or that you're aware of any conversion fees.

Anyone know if Soldo integrates with QuickBooks? That's a dealbreaker for me if it doesn't.

M Matt B. 3 weeks ago
Yep, it does. I use it with QuickBooks Online and it syncs up pretty seamlessly for expenses. Saves a ton of time.

Can confirm! It's one of their main integrations, works well for bookkeeping. You can link it up in the settings.

thinking about getting this for my team but worried about returns if it's not a good fit. How's their cancellation policy?

J Josh Moore 4 weeks ago
They don't really have 'returns' since it's a service, but you can cancel your subscription. Check their terms, but generally, it's a monthly thing so you can just stop after the current month if it's not working out. The free trial is good for testing it out.

I think you just cancel the subscription. It's not like buying a physical product. Definitely use the free trial to see if it fits your business workflow before committing.

I'm looking at Soldo vs Pleo, what's the big difference in terms of features or ease of use?

M Matt H. 1 month ago
From my research, Soldo feels a bit more geared towards larger, more complex setups with all the API stuff and custom controls. Pleo is good too but maybe a bit simpler if you just need basic expense tracking. Both are pretty good though.

I checked both out. Soldo's budget controls felt more granular for specific projects or departments, which was important for us. Pleo's interface might be a tad more modern but functionality-wise, Soldo had the edge for our needs.
